BEACON A man wielding a large knife was shot and killed by police during a confrontation on I-84 near Route 9D in Chelsea late Thursday afternoon. State Police said at about 3:30 p.m., a white man carjacked a vehicle at knifepoint at Memorial Park in the City of Beacon.
