With $350,000 Grant, the Joyce Theater to Expand

The Ford Foundation has pledged a $350,000 grant to the Joyce Theater, a Chelsea-based hub for dance looking to expand its role as a cultural institution. The grant will support the Joyce's presentation of two large-scale shows at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater: the National Ballet of Canada's performance of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," opening Tuesday, and a to-be-announced production in June 2015.
